Ich habe mit Nathan Jurevicius letzte Woche vereinbart, dass ich hier im VisualBlog jeden Monat einen Beitrag über seine aktuellen Arbeiten poste. Für all seine deutschsprachigen Fans. Und das sind nicht wenige.

Gerade sind zwei neue Prints von ihm fertig geworden, die für die Outre Gallery in Australien für eine Ausstellung im März gedacht sind. Die Ausstellung läuft unter dem Titel “City Folk”. Auf der Seite von Outre heißt es dazu: “In this exciting show, which moves on a tangent in the ScaryGirl narrative, Nathan will focus on various aspects of the city that Scarygirl finds herself within. Things such as the secret/ inner workings of city life, Chihoohoo’s club, cityscapes from a distance and up close. There will be a large mix of mediums including original pen and ink drawings, paintings, large format canvas prints and the Australian debut of the new City Folk blind box series with Kidrobot.”

Nathan verriet mir zu den beiden Solo-Exhibitions noch folgendes: “2 Openings – 23rd March in Melbourne and the 30th March in Sydney. The theme will be Scarygirl in the city and feature lots of new artwork including this remixed Big City print called ‘City Vision’. Ich liebe seine Farbprints. Dieses Farbgefühl ist großartig. Dazu die abgefahrene Scarygirl-Welt. Und die vier Prints in meinem Wohnzimmer verzaubern den Raum auf eine ganz einzigartige Weise. Davon kann ich einfach nicht genug bekommen.

Ach ja – im März kommt auch eine neue Mini-Serie heraus. Bilder von einem Prototypen liegen bereits auf meinem Rechner. Das wird demnächst hier gepostet! Ich hoffe, euch gefallen diese Insider-Infos von und um Nathan. Ich will das zu einer Permanent-Serie werden lassen. Und ich arbeite noch daran ein paar Exemplare der “Blind box mini toys” zu ergattern… Das ist aber echt nicht so einfach. Nathan kann da auch nur bedingt helfen.
